About Me

Welcome to my blog Live for Health which incorporates recipe ideas and information about health and wellbeing.

What we eat has an enormous impact on our health and wellbeing. Modern diseases leading to ill health and premature deaths are often considered to be nutritionally oriented. In a nutshell, we can’t continuously put ‘crap’ into our bodies and expect to have long healthful lives. Our bodies are amazing works of art, they are self-healing, self-regenerating, and in most cases, health is the normal, natural state of the body and mind.

Day after day we are faced with many different types of internal and external stressors – things like financial pressures, longer working hours and an ever increasing dependence on technology (or maybe even an addiction to it!). Life can get hectic when we attempt to “have it all” and “keep up with it all”. Unfortunately it’s often our focus on nutrition that is compromised and prevents us from giving adequate care and attention to our own personal health. Eating clean and healthy doesn’t have to mean hours spent slaving in the kitchen. Have you seen my clean eating post. Meals should consist of simple real ingredients which include a variety of foods that provide our bodies with the nutrients it needs to support optimal health and are free from added hormones, toxins, sugars, chemicals or other unhealthy substances – all that nasty stuff that is so prevalent today, take a look at my vitamins and minerals post.

I will post simple nutritious recipes and some fitness, health and wellbeing tips that I adopt in my own life and that I learn through my studies.

It’s been an interesting journey, but I now know that nutrition is the single most important element of a healthy lifestyle. It’s not about being super thin, but being lean and providing our bodies with the proper nutrition to enable it to function properly, avoid illness and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Thanks Tony. I appreciate the feedback. I became interested in Hippocrates “the father of Western Medicine” when studying Naturopathy Philosophy. He and many other pioneers were very insightful.
